Apparently both Microsoft and Google are not keen on supporting dual boot devices and that lead to cancelation of Asus Transformer Duet showcased at MWC along with two other Dual Boot Asus devices. Reportedly Huawei also dropped its Dual boot device and plans on focusing on Android for now. Indian Manufacturer Micromax however has decided to go ahead with its dual boot LapTab which is expected to be priced between 25,000 INR and 30,000 INR. Canvas Tab features a 10.1 inch IPS LCD display and is powered by 1.46GHz Intel Celeron processor backed by 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, expandable up to 64 GB. Other features include 2MP front camera, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 2 MP front camera and 7400 mAh battery. The software will allow you to enjoy the productivity of Windows 8.1 Platform and richness of Android 4.2 jelly bean on a single device, but the transition won’t be seamless. You will have to reboot the device to switch between two operating systems. Well the proposal of a dual OS LapTab is definitely interesting, but it remains to be seen how well it has been executed. We will upload the video interview in this article soon.
