Build Quality, Design and Form Factor
The build quality of Canvas 3d is equally good and very much comparable to the A116 with a difference that this device feels little heavier and it has a matt finish back cover at the back unlike the glossy white found on a116. The design is exact the same as a116 and anyone looking at it might get confused that its a116 canvas HD. The Form factor is quite good it might feel bigger to you if you have used smaller screen size phones and little bit heavier but you will get used to the weight with in a week.
Display, Memory and Battery Backup
It has got a WVGA display and the viewing angles of the display are not so great as it seems like it has TFT capacitive touch screen. The screen is also equipped with capacitive touch and multi-point (5 points) touch which is as sensitive as any other phone and the display is fairly visible while using the phone in sunlight. You have around 1.74 Gb available out of 4GB of internal storage and you can can expand the storage using 32 Gb SD memory card maximum and yes you can install apps in SD card as preferred install location can be set and it has 512 MB of RAM which was quite good to make phone faster but the phone may lag while doing some heavy graphic tasks. We got around 1 day or battery backup on the phone with moderate usage like browsing web, playing some graphic games, listening music around 15 minutes and watched few youtube videos, the battery is 2000 mAh the same which you get on a116.
Software, Benchmarks and Gaming
It runs on android 4.1 out of the box and it should get 4.2 as well but when only Micromax knows, they haven’t said anything about it, One the benchmarks scores we have got the following scores. Benchmark Scores for Canvas 3D
Quadrant Standard Edition: 2920Antutu Benchmark: 4916Nenamark2: 23.8 fps.Multi Touch: 5 point.
The above scores are quite average but we played some graphic intensive games like Dead Trigger, Asphalt 7 and we did not faced lag in graphics and the casual games like angry bird, temple run oz and subway surfer runs fine on the device with little graphic glitch some times.

Rear and Front Camera
The rear camera is 5MP fixed focus and does not do a very good job in photos and videos but again its designed to give a 3D experience as you can take 2D photos and videos and convert them to 3D but the quality is not too good. Both the rear and front camera can record videos at VGA resolution no HD video record capability. 5MP Rear Camera Samples
Canvas 3D Experience
The device has 3d games, 3D video and an app called 3D Space which launches all the apps in 3d mode which are supported and its glass less 3d which is also called Stereoscopic 3D which creates the illusion of three-dimensional depth from given two-dimensional images. You can watch our quick review video or full review to see what does it look to have 3d experience on this device.
Sound, Video and Navigation
The sound from the loudspeaker and earpiece was loud and pretty clear, it can play videos at 720p and 1080p without any problem and navigation also worked using the assisted GPS so when you use GPS navigation make sure to turn on GPS EPO assistance and assisted GPs under location services.

Conclusion and Price
This phone is a unique as compared to other devices as it offers 3D which is till date not seen on any other phone, so we can call it the cheapest 3D smart phone again it has some compromise to make on the camera front, but the display resolution is also WVGA which is considered lower but still it’s display with average viewing angles and moreover it comes with some great 3D and its cheaper at Rs. 9999 INR as compared to A116 and it looks exactly like a116.
