Physical Overview

While it is not only minimalist, it is also quite handy for a phone with a 5.7 inch display. According to LG, it has managed to fit a 5.7 inch display in a shell that is generally used for a 5.2 inch display. The chamfered edges with a metal frame running around adds to the looks of the phone. The back of the phone is covered with glass.

Above the display, you will find the earpiece, ambient light sensor and the front camera. The front camera is a 5MP unit with a 100 degree wide angle lens.

On the bottom, you will find the LG logo. The G6 comes with on-screen navigation buttons.

The left side of the phone houses the volume rocker. Other than that, it is bare.

On the right, the SIM card slot is present. The rest is bare.

Coming to the back of the G6, you will find the dual camera setup on the top. Just below the camera sensor module, the fingerprint sensor is present. Another interesting aspect of the G6 is that the power button has been embedded in the fingerprint sensor.

Near the bottom, you will find the G6 logo and some other information.

Coming to the bottom of the phone, you will find the secondary mic, the loudspeaker and the USB Type C 2.0 port for charging and data transfer.

Display

The LG G6 is the first phone to come with a FullVision Quad HD+ IPS LCD display. It features a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels, giving you a pixel density of 564 PPI. The display is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 5. LG has opted for curved edges on the display, making the phone look very good overall. The 18:9 aspect ratio offers more viewing space and a more immersive experience when streaming videos and playing games.

Camera

Coming to one of the main selling points of the G6, you get a dual camera setup on the back, along with a wide angle camera on the front.

With the G6, LG has opted for two 13 MP sensors on the back. Benchmark Scores

Conclusion

The LG G6 is a very good launch from the Korean giant. The phone looks extremely good, especially with those thin bezels and the 5.7 inch FullVision display with curved edges. The 18:9 aspect ratio may take a while to get used to, though. In our testing we found the device to be extremely powerful. If you are looking to buy a high end device, you can definitely consider the LG G6.
