LeTV Le Max Unboxing

LeTV has been doing well in terms of marketing their products and have successfully done it again with the box that comes with the Le Max inside. The design of the box looks very common, but it looks pretty premium because of the black and gold colours.

You will find the LeTV branding on the top which is printed in golden colour. At the back, there is a sticker that contains all the details and specs written in Chinese. The quality of the accessories was good, only the back cover looked a little cheap but it can act well to protect the phablet.

Once we opened the box, there was the handset resting on the top, a plastic back cover, and the warrantee & user guide with a SIM ejecting pin. Under this compartment, we found a USB Type-C cable, charger, and a USB 2.0 to USB Type-C connector.

LeTV Le Max Physical Overview

Le Max is a massive smartphone with an abnormally large 6.3 inch display. Despite of its huge screen size, the device still manages to look good and rest easily in one hand. The front looks a lot like what we have seen in the QiKU Q Terra but with a larger area covered. The front looks absolutely beautiful as the engineers have done a great job with the display, it has ultra-thin side bezels and it covers almost 85% of the front face of the device. It has a solid metal construction which feels very premium from each angle. One handed usage is not easy, so the makers have added one hand UI functionality for the ease.

The front top holds the selfie camera, speaker mesh and couple of sensors. The bottom has the capacitive navigation buttons which are backlid which can be seen when you turn the screen on.

The volume rocker is made up of good quality alloy and is placed on the left side. A Ringer switch is also present right above the volume key.

Power/lock key, SIM tray is on the right hand side of the phone. It also has a Wi-Fi HD sign which shows the HD Wi-Fi display connectivity support.

3.5 m audio jack and an IR blaster are located on the top. A USB Type-C port and dual speaker grills are at the bottom.

At the back side, 21 MP rear camera is located on the center top with the dual-tone LED flash on the right and a dedicated mic above it. A square shaped fingerprint sensor is placed right below the camera lens.

Moving downwards, you’ll find the LeTV branding.

LeTV Le Max Gaming Performance

The gaming performance on this device is very impressive. It fulfills almost every requirement for a great gaming experience. The spec sheet is very impressive on paper and we did realize that it really is quite powerful. It has a great 2K display that is a treat to play games on. To power up the gaming performance, it has a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 4GB of RAM.

We played Asphalt 8 and Dead Trigger 2 on this handset; we did not face any issue from the very beginning to the end of the game-play. It was easily picking up the game from where we left it, we minimized the game in middle of the game-play and re-opened it after almost an hour and the game was still at the same position where we left it. The Adreno 430 GPU does a fair job in handling graphic greedy games. We did not face any issue playing games at high graphic quality. It is a good choice for aggressive gamers. Note:- The gaming was tested at an atmospheric temperature of 12 degree Celcius. [table id=322 /]
