These tablets are powered by 1.2 GHz MT8389 Quad core processor based on Cortex A7 architecture. The RAM capacity is 1 GB (LPDDR2) and the variants released in India have 16 GB on board storage which can be extended to 64 GB using MicroSD card. The 8 inch and 10 inch Yoga Tablet’s displays both have 1280 x 800 pixel HD resolution. The pixel density is 189 and 151 ppi respectively which is not much. Though both of these tabs have a SIM card slot for 3G, only the 8 Inch Yoga Tab can be used for calling. The primary AF camera is of 5 MP and a front camera of 1.6 MP is also present for video calling. The Battery capacity of 6000 mAh and 9000 mAh in 8 inch and 10 inch tablets will give you 18 hours of WiFi browsing which is pretty good. on the software front these tablets run on Android 4.2 jelly bean.
For now you can pre-order these tablets from Lenovo’s dostore.com and the shipment will start from 25th November. You will also get goodies including sleeve cover, protective film and earphones worth Rs. 4000 and Rs. 5000 for both these tablets if you pre-order before 25th. The competitors include upcoming iPad Mini Retina Display, Nexus 10 and Nexus 7 tablets and if you don’t need 3G connectivity, the other options make lot more sense.
