The JBL Free features 5.6mm drivers that have a frequency range between 10Hz and 22KHz. It sports a JBL Signature Sound technology that is claimed to offer an intuitive and immersive audio experience. The earphones feature an IPX5-certified design for resisting water and sweat.

Further, the JBL Free comes with a charging case that allows the earphones to last for around 24 hours of combined usage. The company says that the earbuds alone can offer up to 4 hours of continuous listening, while the case can offer a 20-hour battery backup. The JBL Free also comes with a built-in mic for calls. The box comes with three comfort-fit ear tips and two secure fit silicone sleeves that can be interchanged for different size combinations.
