Commenting on the launch, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies said, “Stylish design and valiant features always go hand in hand at Intex. With the specially designed Aqua Glam, we are targeting the urban woman of today and leveraging the opportunity to empower her with a device that is handy and its practical features help strike a work-life balance.”
The Aqua Glam runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 and features a 4.7 inches HD (720p) IPS display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-core Mediatek 6580 processor with 1 GB of RAM and comes with an internal memory of 8 GB that is expandable up to 32 GB. What women would love about this phone though would be the quality of those selfies – the Aqua Glam sports an impressive front-facing 8 MP camera which is more than the regular 5 MP you get on phones nowadays and a 8 MP rear camera with dual LED flash. It comes equipped with features like slow motion recording, anti-shake camera and gesture/voice/smile enabled capture modes. Another unique feature in the Aqua Glam is the women-specific apps that come pre-installed; there’s Sashakt, a safety-oriented app that will send a message with your location to a pre-determined number in case of an emergency. Then there’s the MakeUP app, which lets you touch up those photos as the name would suggest. And for the cooking enthusiasts, there’s the Sanjeev Kapoor Recipes app to give you many happy hours of cooking bliss. It also has a Pedometer and a Meditation app for those that want to focus on their health and well-being.

Weighing in at 116 grams, the Aqua Glam comes with an 1850 mAh battery and connectivity features include 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and comes with Smart Wake and Hot Knot, which is similiar to NFC. [table id=98 /] All in all, the Aqua Glam has made a big effort to appease to the women who would like a good camera and the added features that it comes with although it certainly isn’t top-end in the hardware department.
