The aim is to produce a crowdsourced full-length user-generated movie shot in a single day that captures the story of evolving India as seen through your eyes. The film will be directed by Richie Mehta, famous for his ‘I’ll follow you down’ with Ridley Scott and Anurag Kashyap as the Executive producers. R.Balki, Shekhar Kapur and Zoya Akhtar will serve as creative consultants. Mehta said: “This project is so personal to me, as I believe film is a perfect way to showcase what makes India so extraordinary.” The film showcases your point of view regarding living in India, capturing real essence of the country in just a single day. The objective of this Google initiative is to capture the life in India in 2015 with a focus on how technology is changing the lives of millions of people of this nation.
