Along with the flagship P20 Pro, Huawei is also expected to launch the mid-range P20 Lite smartphone. Both the smartphones are scheduled to launch in India on April 24.
Huawei P20 Pro Camera features
The highlight of the Huawei P20 Pro is the triple rear camera setup, co-engineered by Leica. It sports an 8MP sensor with 3x optical zoom Leica telephoto lens. The second one is a 40MP RGB 1/1.7-inch sensor, while the third one is a 20MP monochrome sensor.
Between the larger lenses, there is a laser transmitter for quick autofocus, and a Leica color temperature sensor as well. The camera has a light sensitivity up to ISO 102400 and also boasts of having the most powerful zoom on a smartphone, apart from a 3x optical zoom. The P20 Pro also offers 4D Predictive Focus that provides instant focus with motion prediction with nearly zero shutter lag. The smartphone support 6-axis stabilization and 960fps super slow-motion video recording also. It also comes with ‘Master AI’ scene recognition, and AI-Assisted Composition, to help with things like alignment and framing.
Huawei P20 Pro Specifications
The Huawei P20 Pro features a notch display – a 6.1-inch display adorns the front with a notch on the top. Huawei has used an AMOLED panel for the P20 Pro, with the display resolution being 2240 x 1080 pixels, resulting in an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. The P20 Pro is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset with an octa-core processor, coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The smartphone also features a front mounted fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with EMUI 8.1 on top. Other features of the P20 Pro include a USB Type C USB 3.1 port, dual band Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and Infrared. The phone comes with dual SIM and 4G VoLTE support as well, and is powered by a big 4,000 mAh battery. Along with the P20 Pro, Huawei is also expected to launch the P20 Lite, a mid-range offering from the company.
