The Display is 6 inches in size with 1080p full HD resolution and slim bezels. Huawei is using LTPS display technology for finer display and better contrast ratio. Ascend Mate 7 will be powered by Huawei’s own Hisilicon Kirin 925 processor with Mali T-628 GPU. The chipset has 4 cortex A15 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz for demanding tasks and 4 Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.3 GHz to handle day to day tasks. You can choose from 2 GB RAM – 16 GB internal storage and 3 GB RAM – 32 GB internal storage variants. Software is Android 4.4 kitkat with Emotion UI and as you can see in the images, the UI takes design cues from upcoming Android L.
At the rear, there is a 13MP camera with, F2.0 aperture, Sony Sensor, 5-element lens and LED flash. On the front side, you get a 5MP front-facing camera 5P non-spherical lens. The well Crafted Mate 7 is 7.9 mm thick and weighs a moderate 182 grams. Huawei has never been shy of butting a big batter in its Ascend mate phablets and Ascend Mate 7 is no exception with a 4100 mAh battery inside. Other features include G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and GPS. 16 GB and 32 GB variants will retail for 499 euros and 599 euros respectively in Black, Silver and Gold colors later this year. Huawei will initially launch Ascend Mate 7 in 30 countries including China. Since Huawei Ascend Mate 2 is yet to reach India, we don’t expect Mate 7 to arrive in India anytime soon.
