Camera and Internal Storage
The rear camera comes with an 8 MP sensor supported with LED flash and capable of recording full HD 1080p videos. HTC has also paid attention to the front 5 MP camera which sports a BSI sensor for better low light selfies. Imaging hardware is quite decent in this price range. Internal storage is 8 GB, which is again pretty standard in low cost and mid range segment. The storage can be further expanded by another 32 GB using MicroSD card slot.
Processor and Battery
The Desire 610 makes use of 64 bit Snapdragon 410 quad core processor with 4G LTE support, Adreno 306 GPU and 1 GB RAM. This is the 64 bit equivalent of Snapdragon 400, which dominated in budget devices through 2014. The Four Cortex A53 cores based on more energy efficient ARMv8 architecture, are clocked at 1.2 GHz. Battery capacity is 2100 mAh and this time the battery will be removable. We will have to spend some more time with the device to know how much of a difference 64 bit computing will make, in improving battery longevity.
Display and Other Features
The display is sweet 5 inches in size with 1280 x 720p HD resolution. The IPS LCD technology is expected to render good viewing angles. HTC hasn’t mentioned any scratch resistant layer on top to protect the display from daily wear and tear. On the software front, you will get Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6 UI on top. HTC Signature dual frontal stereo speakers are also present for powerful Audio experience. Other features include 4G LTE (Desire 620),3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, GPS. Desire 620 is moderately heavy at 160 grams and will be available in Marble White and Grey color options. HTC is sticking to its Dual Shot styling (which adds a second color ascent) in this one as well.

Conclusion
The new HTC Smartphone has been priced at approx $225 and if HTC Manages to keep it under 15,000 INR in markets like India, it will be a very viable option. HTC Desire 620 combines 64 bit computing and HTD Design expertise with other standard hardware to keep the price in check. This approach could work for HTC in India.
