Display and Processor
Both the Desire 210 and Galaxy S Duos 2 are fitted with 4 inch displays boasting WVGA resolution of 480×800 pixels and they total to pixel densities of 233 pixels per inch. Hence, there is not much difference between the two phones in this segment and they score equal. When it comes to processing power, Desire 210 is equipped with a dual-core MediaTek MT6572M processor running at 1.2 GHz paired with 512 MB of RAM. In comparison, Galaxy S Duos 2 is powered by a slightly faster 1.3 GHz dual-core Cortex A9 SoC coupled with 768 MB of RAM. Analyzing these figures, though both the handsets look like they are not too powerful, the latter with a 768 MB of RAM and slightly faster processor could be better in multi-tasking among the two.
Camera and Internal Storage
Again, both the HTC and Samsung phones pack a basic 5 MP primary camera at the back along with a VGA front-facing snapper for video calling. While everything seems to be similar between the two opponents, the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 is a step ahead as its rear camera fitted with LED flash for better imagery. To handle the storage needs, both the handsets come with 4 GB of internal storage that is too low to store all the applications. But, the Galaxy S Duos 2 gains applause for supporting up to 64 GB of expandable storage, whereas the Desire 210 supports only 32 GB of expandable support with the help of a micro SD card.
Battery and Features
Samsung once again succeeds HTC with a 1,500 mAh battery that could deliver superior backup compared to the 1,300 mAh battery capacity in the Desire 210. Both the Desire 210 and Galaxy S Duos 2 run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, but they are topped with their respective UI such as TouchWiz and Sense respectively. On the connectivity front, the handsets come packed with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3G and dual SIM card slots to ensure seamless connectivity. As far as other software features are concerned, Desire 210 comes with BlinkFeed, a part of the Sense UI that keeps users updated with news feeds even when the display is turned off.

Both HTC Desire 210 and Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 are priced similarly, but the Samsung offering packs enhanced aspects such as bigger RAM, LED flash and improved battery. But, the HTC phone has a better build that makes it comfortable to hold while the Galaxy S Duos 2 has a plastic build that the Samsung phones are usual criticized for.
