Google released the latest version of its Android platform earlier this week and it is called ‘Android 8.0 Oreo. Google Pixel, Pixel XL, and Nexus devices are the first devices in the market that are running on Android Oreo update as of now. And now, according to the tweet posted by HTC USA on its Twitter page, the company is bringing on the Android Oreo 8.0 update for its HTC U11, HTC U Ultra, and HTC 10 devices across the world. However, the Taiwanese company hasn’t shared a timeline for the update to be rolled out. The company said that more details and additional devices would be announced soon.

— HTC USA (@HTCUSA) August 22, 2017 HTC is one of the first players to announce an official update confirmation for their flagship devices. Other smartphone makers or OEMs are yet to announce any details for the update schedules or any estimates for when their flagship devices will get Android 8.0 Oreo. So, the HTC devices like U11 and U Ultra which have been running Android 7.1 Nougat till now, will get some significant improvements in OS with Android Oreo. HTC had also been one of the fastest smartphone makers to roll out the Android Nougat 7.0 updates to its devices. The company pushed out the update to HTC 10 in just over 90 days. So, this comes as no surprise that the HTC flagships will be one of the first few devices to get the latest OS from Google. To recall, Android O which was launched on August 21 has some amazing features in comparison to its predecessor. Some notable features include Picture-in-Picture mode, notification dots, support for Bluetooth 5.0, Google’s Autofill Framework etc.
