The Taiwanese tech firm is believed to be working on a top notch Desire smartphone carrying a codename A55. The leakster upleaks suggests that the smartphone codenamed HTC Hima_Ace is cancelled and it is replaced with the A55.

When it comes to specifications, the alleged Desire lineup smartphone is said to boast of a 5.5 inch display with a Quad HD resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and incorporate a MediaTek MT6795 octa core processor with support for 64 bit computing. The chipset is likely to integrate 4G LTE connectivity as well. Notably, the previously launched high end Desire smartphones use Snapdragon chipsets from Qualcomm under their hood. For imaging, the HTC A55 is said to flaunt a 20 MP main camera with LED flash and a 13 MP or an UltraPixel front facer. The speculation also suggests that the A55 will be featuring BoomSound as the other high end smartphones from HTC and incorporate a beefy 3,000 mAh battery. Apart from 4G LTE, the device is also claimed to arrive packed with connectivity aspects including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with GLONASS and optional Dual SIM functionality depending on the region. It is likely to run on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system layered with Sense 7 UI. When it comes to availability, the A55 is rumored to launch in different color options including Brown Gold, Gray and White Rose Gold. There is a speculation that the HTC offering might be unveiled in February 2015, but we need to wait to hear an official word from the firm.
