HTC 10 With Snapdragon 820

The HTC 10 India launch was earlier determined to feature a lower end Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor. HTC had plans to launch this version in two of its biggest markets, China and India. Using this mid-range processor would have helped the company to bring down the prices, but this announcement followed a lot of uproar on social media. Noting this, HTC went back and announced that it will launch the Snapdragon 820 version in India.

HTC 10 Specs

The HTC 10 comes with a 5.2 inch Quad HD Super LCD5 display, with the pixel density at 565 PPI. The display is protected by Corning’s latest Gorilla Glass 4. The device features the latest SoC from Qualcomm – the Snapdragon 820. It comes with a quad core processor, with two cores clocked at 2.15 GHz and the remaining two cores clocked at 1.6 GHz. Adreno 530 GPU will handle the graphics department. 4 GB RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB internal storage, in addition to support for microSD cards up to 2 TB. The other highlights of the HTC 10 include the main 12 MP camera with a f/1.8 aperture and 1.55µm pixel size. It also comes with dual LED flash, laser autofocus and Optical Image Stabilization. It supports 4K video recording as well. Coming to the front camera, it is a 5 MP snapper with f/1.8 aperture size, OIS, autofocus, 1.34 µm pixel size. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB 3.1 Type C reversible connector. It comes with a 3,000 mAh battery. The HTC 10 comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, with the company’s custom skin Sense 8 UI on top. Even though the Sense UI comes with a lot of changes, it is now quite lean compared to its previous versions.

Pricing And Availability

The HTC 10 is priced at Rs. 52,990 for the 32 GB version. It will start shipping from June 5th.
