Display & Processor

The Honor Holly 2 Plus features a 5.0-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and pixel density of 294 ppi, on the other hand Samsung Galaxy J3 also features a similar 5.0-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and same pixel density. However, the two phones differ in the terms of display quality, the Honor Holly 2 Plus features an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, whereas the Galaxy J3 features a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. Coming to the processor, the Honor Holly 2 Plus features a MediaTek MT6735P processor, clocked at 1.3GHz whereas the Samsung Galaxy J3 is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor with Spreadtrum SC8830 chipset. Processor wise, Samsung Galaxy J3 is better than Honor holly 2 plus, which means more smooth experience. The RAM on both the smartphones is also different but the other way round. The Holly 2 Plus features 2GB of RAM, whereas the Samsung Galaxy J3 features only 1.5GB of RAM, which means better multitasking on Holly 2 Plus.

User Interface & Operating System

Both the smartphones run on Android Lollipop 5.1 based custom roms build by the respective manufacturers. The Holly 2 Plus runs on the EMUI 3.1 built by Holly, which is actually a toned down version of the EMUI 3.1 and the OS runs buttery smooth on the device. The Samsung Galaxy J3 runs on the ever so popular Samsung TouchWiz, with a few modifications to make it run smoothly on the device. The operating system and the user interface choice depends on your personal preference.

Holly 2 Plus consist of a 13-megapixel primary camera in comparison to a 8 megapixel rear camera in Galaxy J3, with common feature in terms of autofocus and LED Flash. The battery on the devices takes a huge difference. The Honor Holly 2 Plus features a massive non-removable 4000mAh battery, whereas the Samsung Galaxy J3 features a removable 2600mAh battery. Other than all this, the Holly 2 Plus also features Fast Battery charging, which the Samsung Galaxy J3 lacks. Also, the Holly 2 plus has a dedicated microphone for active noise cancelation that the Galaxy J3 does not have. In return, Galaxy J3 features a unique S bike mode for improving your ride.

Verdict

Neck to neck prices of both the phones can make it difficult to choose, but other features enables you to decide which one suits your need better. Samsung Galaxy J3 have a Removable battery, Faster processor, Super AMOLED display and S bike feature that are missing in Honor Holly 2 Plus. On the other hand, Honor Holly 2 Plus is equipped with 16 GB internal storage (double as compared to J3), around 33% more RAM and a massive 4000 mAh battery which supports fast charging.
