The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with a skinned Emotion UI 5.1. Honor 8 Pro is the latest premium device from Huawei and is already available in the Chinese market as the Honor V9.
Honor 8 Pro Specifications
The Honor 8 Pro sports a 5.7″ IPS LCD 2.5D curved glass panel with 2K resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. The pixel density of the phone stands at ~515 PPI. It runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat with Emotion UI 5.1 on top. In terms of performance, the Honor 8 Pro features the company’s own HiSilicon Kirin 960 octa-core chipset clocked at 2.4 GHz. The device has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and 128GB expandable via SD card.
The camera department features dual rear cameras of 12MP + 12MP with autofocus and LED flash. One camera supports RGB while the other sensor takes images in monochrome. The rear camera features Laser Autofocus, f/2.2 aperture and 4K video recording. The front camera is an 8MP unit with 77-degree wide-angle lens. In terms of battery, the Honor 8 Pro packs a 4,000 mAh non-removable battery. Coming to connectivity, the device features Dual Sim 4G VoLTE, USB type C 2.0 port and 3.5mm headphone jack. The Fingerprint sensor is placed on the back. Other sensors include Hall sensor, Infrared sensor, Proximity, Ambient Light, Digital Compass, Gravity, Gyroscope sensor and Status indicator LED.
