Xiaomi Android One Smartphone Reported

Reports from Krispitech have pointed that Google and Xiaomi are now working together to create the next Android One device from Google. If this is true, this would bring forward a major shift in strategy for Xiaomi which has usually depended on their own UI – the MIUI.

These two companies working together on a Xiaomi Android One device would bring together the best of both worlds. This would bring together Google’s experience in the world of software technology with their stock Android OS along with Xiaomi’s experience in low-cost hardware. Releasing the Xiaomi Android One smartphone with the stock Android OS instead of MIUI might just add more credibility to Xiaomi. Xiaomi is a dominant force in the markets of India and China. Google is perhaps aiming at this partnership with their eyes in the low-cost sector in the Indian smartphone markets. Whatever be the case, a Xiaomi Android One smartphone is certainly a win-win for both the companies involved. What adds to our belief that this Xiaomi Android One smartphone will indeed be coming out is the fact that over time many companies are letting go of their custom Operating Systems and bringing in the stock Android OS. Those observing the smartphone markets would have noticed that Nokia returned with Stock Android instead of their custom OS. Lenovo too dropped the Vibe UI in favor of stock Android. Would you buy a Xiaomi Android One smartphone? Do you think that Xiaomi would ditch the MIUI for stock Android? Comment below and let us know what you think of this!
