This shopping experience is now available across the Google products including visiting the Google Shopping home page, the Shopping tab on Google Search and in Google Lens app. It will also be available as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for entry-level phones.

Google Shopping Features

The new Shopping experience is a destination for shoppers to search across multiple product categories and browse products from multiple retailers. To make the shopping experience better, it has smart features like price cuts and collection of the most popular products on Google.

The ‘Shopping’ tab in Google Search will also allow users to post any queries about the products in Hindi and English. It will show product lists, local store inventory, and reviews as well. There is a Style Search option in Google Lens app that is a new visual approach to find products such as clothes and home decor by simply pointing the Lens app at it.

For retailers, Google has launched a Merchant Center in Hindi. The retailers can now use this Merchant Center to upload their product details so they can appear on Google, without running an ad campaign. Commenting on the launch, Surojit Chatterjee, Vice President – Product Management, Google said, “From seasoned desktop shoppers to first-time users with entry-level smartphones, we hope this new shopping experience will make finding what people are looking for just a little bit easier. With this launch, our aim is to support the entire retail ecosystem, from shopping sites and large retailers to small local shops, and give them the tools, technology, and scale to thrive in today’s digital economy.”
