Google Play Protect feature started showing up for Android users in the settings menu of their devices last month. It was mentioned then that it would come soon to the Play Store. Now, the feature is showing up for all users on the Google Play store and you can access it by tapping on Menu icon on play store. From now on, whenever you download or update any app or game from Play Store, it will show a verified sign beneath the download bar saying ‘Verified by Play Protect’. Basically, it is the same security suite which was available earlier in Google Play Services named Verify Apps. Now, the feature is available in Play Store as a background app check service that will make sure you don’t have any suspicious app installed on your device. Play Protect will continuously work to scan your installed apps. It shows the list of scanned apps in the Play Store and when the last scan was done with confirming it found no problems. Also, it will uninstall the harmful apps with a warning message. Also, you can send unknown apps to Google for better harmful apps detection. Additionally, users get the option to manually scan and check if their apps have certain security issues and are safe to use or not. It will notify you if any security risks are found on your device. The Google Play Protect feature has already shown up for most of the users but is being rolled out in phases as usual. The feature, can be found on Android devices through the settings menu as well.
