Google stated in a Blog Post, the service will list events and their summaries. These will come from BookMyShow, AllEvents.in, EventsHigh.com, 10times.com and other popular sites.

How does it work?

This Event listing update from Google responds to quick searches like ‘food festivals in Mumbai’ or ‘Dance performances in Delhi’. The list arrives in a sleek manner with the event date to the left, event title and the day and timing, accompanied by a short summary.

One click on the event redirects you to the site from where it was listed. The update also offers multiple filters about the date of events. You can filter from ‘Today’, ‘Tomorrow’, ‘This Week’, ‘This Weekend’, ‘Next month’, and more. If you want to explore more openly without categorizing events, you can type ‘Events near me’ on your Google search mobile app or mobile web. By doing this, you will get a list of all events near you, based on your location.   “Starting today in India, doing a search for many types of events on the Google mobile search app and mobile web will bring up a concise summary of events and activities from popular sites from across the web like BookMyShow.com, AllEvents.in, EventsHigh.com, and 10times.com,” Google said in a statement.
