In a recent development, the China based firm has rolled out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat upgrade to one of the offerings – Gionee Elife E7 mini. Earlier this month, the Gionee Elife S5.5 and CTRL V5 received the same upgrade. However, unlike the OTA updates released for the previous set of smartphones, the one meant for the Elife E7 mini requires flash tools to get installed. Also, consumers can take their handsets to the Gionee Service centers to get it upgraded free of cost. The KitKat update not only brings in a revamped user interface and adds a host of new features to enhance the user experience greatly. It also adds new features such as the ones mentioned below:
