Apart from the obvious upgrade of Android version, Gionee has also added support for 9 local languages including Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil and Telugu.Gionee has also added a CamCard feature which allows you to scan and store a business card to your device and TouchPal for faster and smoother typing. Several apps have been upgraded as well. These include We Chat, Saavn, UC Browser, NQ Mobile, Kingsoft Office, Texas Poker and Gionee Xender.
Gionee also mentioned on its facebook page, that Gionee P3 will soon be updated to Android 4.4.2 Kitkat as well. While there is still no word on upgrade for high end models like Elife E6 and Elife E7. Elife E3 (Quick Review) which launched last year had a big role to play in Gionee’s success in India.
