Freedom 251 comes in a very nice tri colored box. Like the phone the packaging is also super good for the price. On the top it has the name and picture of the phone with very nice design and colors. It has the name of the phone on the side with the tagline “जो कहते है वो करते है”. At the back there is a summary about the specifications of the phone.

Physical Overview
The build quality is great, at this price, it is unbelievably good. It has a nice 4 inch display with a removable plastic back panel. It has a textured back made up of plastic material. The phone does not have a very thick body, and it is not very heavy also, so you will not have any difficulty, handling this device. Overall, build quality is low as compared to other phones but it is not something to complain about when seen with the price. Let us take a look at the phone from different angles. Front Top features a loudspeaker grill and front camera.

Display
Freedom 251 has a 4 inch IPS TFT display with a screen resolution of 960×540 pixels. The display has a color depth of 16 M colors. The display has good viewing angles and color saturation. When you boot the device, an image of the Indian Flag comes up, which is very refreshing. Outdoor visibility is not very good and there is no adaptive brightness. Overall, the display quality is fair as compared to other phones but again it is super great when seen with the price.
Gaming Performance
Freedom 251 has a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory. All this is backed by a 1450 mAh Li – Ion battery. This hardware seems good specs wise but is not made for gaming, especially heavy gaming, although some small games can be played can be easily played on it but then you will have to charge the phone multiple times in a day.
Conclusion
Freedom 251 has a handy size, low build quality, fair display quality, nice OS, good processor, enough RAM and storage, dedicated microSD slot, fair camera, small battery backup, good connectivity options and almost no sensors. This phone was not made to have great or even average specs, the highlight of the phone is the price, it is priced at Rs. 251 only which makes it super value for money. But there is a very big issue with the availability of the phone, out of 7.5 crore people, only 2.5 lac are shortlisted and only 70,000 handsets have been shipped till now.
