The Chinese manufacturer has started taking pre-orders for $229 (Approx 14,000 INR) and shipping is expected to start next week. So what makes Elephone P7000 that fascinating? Let’s see. This affordable flagship phone runs MediaTek’s 64 bit star MT6752 Cortex A53 based octa core chip clocked at 2 GHz and assisted by 3 GB RAM, 16 core Mali T760 GPU and Expandable 16 GB internal storage.

This powerful Chipset humming inside will power 1080p full HD resolution on a 5.5 Inch IPS LCD display, below which is present a home button which also doubles as LED notification light. The display is protected by scratch resistant Gorilla Glass 3 as well.

The rear camera has 13MP SONY IMX 214 sensor (same as OnePlus One or Xiaomi Mi4) with a f2.0 wide aperture lens on top. Below the rear camera, there is a fast and responsive touch based fingerprint sensor (0.1 Second), which works 360 degrees, i.e., allows you to place your finger at any angle to unlock the phone.

Interestingly, Elephone P7000 is running Android 5.0 Lollipop ROM out of the box, but the company allows more ROM options including MIUI, CyanogenMod, etc. Other features include 3450 mAh battery, 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, 64 GB MicroSD support, Dual SIM, Bluetooth and GPS.
