Sometimes if you don’t like an ad that you see, you can report it to Google and cite reasons for doing the same. A new reason has been added recently, which says ‘Ad knew too much’. While it is hard to believe that Google, or any major tech firms will ever admit that they know ‘too much’ about you, this is a subtle hint from Google’s new ad report option that they actually do. There have been multiple instances of people claiming that ads are getting smarter. People claim that even talking about certain products might show you related ads – leading to the paranoia that your PC is ‘listening’ to you. As dystopian as it sounds, there are many who believe that this is actually true. There have been times when we have seen prominent people in the world of technology taping up their laptop cameras and mics so that no information can pass through! With this new ad report option claiming ‘Ad knew too much’, the question that arises is – will Google ever stop collecting your data? The answer to this is possibly, no. However this is as polite as Google can get it letting you know that they are indeed collecting a significant amount of data about you. The next time you see an ad that knows too much about you, simply report it using this new ad report option. Source: Reddit
