BSNL has introduced this plan on a promotional basis in the select circles, reports TelecomTalk. Also, it is valid from June 25 to September 22, 2018, and it is currently available only for prepaid users in Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles.
BSNL Rs. 1,999 Plan
BSNL Rs. 1,999 plan is offering 2GB daily data, which makes the overall data benefit to 730GB, offering at per GB price of Rs 2.73. The plan also offers unlimited voice calls without any FUP limit. Lastly, it also provides 100 SMSes per day for the entire validity period of 365 days, which means 36,500 SMSes for one year. BSNL has announced this plan to take on Reliance Jio. If we talk about Jio’s long term plan, they also have a Rs 1,999 tariff plan, but its validity is only 180 days. Jio is offering 125GB data without any daily FUP, unlimited voice call and 100 SMS per day for 180 days. Jio also offers free subscription Jio apps. However, BSNL still offers more with its Rs. 1,999 plan. As mentioned above, this is a promotional plan which is currently available only in Chennai & Tamil Nadu circles. Other circles’ users will have to wait a bit longer for this plan, however there is no such confirmation as of now. When it’ll be launched for other circles, the free voice calling will not be applicable in Delhi and Mumbai because BSNL is not operating in these circles.
