Daylight view of the screen is also quite good.
Camera
Zenfone Selfie Pro is a selfie camera focused device. Asus has added the 24MP DuoPixel technology with 2 x 12MP selfie cameras with soft flash. In addition to its dual selfie cameras, the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro features a rear 16MP camera with a Sony IMX351 image sensor. The camera performed well in our testing both in outdoor and indoor conditions.
The 16MP primary camera seems to do a good job in different lighting conditions. Camera UI is little complexed and it also sees some lag while capturing. However, it is easy to focus and has good exposure balance. In low light, it struggles a little with focus and the detailing is also lower in comparison to daylight. The overall camera experience is good. It also has a Portrait mode which enables a depth-of-field effect by blurring the background. Coming to the selfie camera, the main camera features a Sony IMX362 dual-pixel image sensor with DuoPixel technology and a wide f/1.8 aperture to capture 24MP (2x12MP) shots. It features a secondary 120° wide-angle lens that lets you shoot group selfies.
The front camera features a soft light LED flash for low light selfies. The ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro lets you shoot astonishingly detailed 4K UHD selfie videos and also has EIS as well. Moreover, it has a selfie master app that lets you apply beautification effects to make your selfies even more beautiful. Overall, the front camera of the device is able to capture good images.

Hardware and Performance
The phone packs a powerful 64-bit 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The 14nm FinFET process in the chipset delivers maximum performance while reducing power consumption. We did not experience any lag on the device even while gaming on it. Interestingly, there is a game mode feature that you can find useful while gaming. During extensive gaming, the device heats up a little and the battery drain is considerable. On the software front, the Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro runs on Android 7.1 Nougat topped with ZenUI 4.0. ASUS ZenUI 4.0 features a new visual design and keeps only the essential apps including auto face tagging in Gallery, Safeguard, Page Marker which helps you bookmark web pages etc. A front-mounted fingerprint reader quickly unlocks the phone. You can unlock the device within 0.2 seconds. The benchmarking tests on the Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro give the following scores:
Pricing and Availability

The latest smartphone from Asus is basically designed for selfie lovers. However, the camera-centric device has some letdowns that may give you a reason not to spend money on it. The camera lag, battery performance and heating issue can be some of the reasons. Although there are features that definitely deserve some appreciation. The camera, device performance and the premium and sleek design are the features for which you can consider the device.
