The latest renders of Apple iPhone SE 2 come courtesy of Tigermobiles in collaboration with Onleaks. The leaked pictures show the design of the iPhone SE 2. The past rumors have suggested that Apple might go with a glass body design for the iPhone SE 2, however, new 3D renders reflect a different design language with metal back.
iPhone SE 2 Design
As shown in the renders, the device in images is sporting a full-screen display with ultra-thin bezels on the sides. Interestingly, the device is seen sporting a 4-inch display with an iPhone X-like top notch. On the back, the iPhone SE 2 shares the same old design as the iPhone SE and iPhone 5 series. Further, the iPhone SE 2 renders reveal there’s no home screen button or Touch ID on the front. This suggests that the new iPhone SE 2 is likely coming with the FaceID or facial recognition technology. Earlier, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also suggested that SE 2 will come with FaceID instead of TouchID. Apart from the metal rear panel, the render also shows the device will come with a single rear camera module along with LED flash. The bottom side of the device shows USB charging port in the middle with two speaker grills. Interestingly, it looks like Apple has also decided to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack. It is also reported that iPhone SE 2 will be built and assembled in India. Also, the iPhone SE 2 might be manufactured by Wistron in India which is the same company that was assembling the first-gen iPhone SE in India at Apple’s Bengaluru facility. Apple is expected to launch the iPhone SE 2 at its WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) in June.
