Not much has changes as compared to its predecessor. The new iPad Mini 3 has the same 5MP iSight camera coupled with HD FaceTime camera. The most conspicuous change is addition of Touch ID and Apple Pay. Again because of lack of NFC chips, Apple Pay won’t work with brick and Mortar stores.
Apple hasn’t upgraded the chipset to A8X. The new iPad Mini will feature the same A7 SoC + M7 motion processor as its predecessor and therefore connectivity options and performance remains same. India isn’t among the first wave of countries to get iPad Mini 3. It will come in 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB priced at $400, $500 and $600 respectively. LTE variants will retail at $530, $630 and $730 respectively. The new tab is almost similar to last year’s but that is not necessarily a bad thing. We would have liked NFC supported Apple Pay on The new iPad Mini 3 as well. Update: iPad Mini 3 India prices are as follows
