How to enable Airtel WiFi Calling?

Airtel users will need to enable this setting in their phones to utilize this feature. Then the phone automatically makes the call using either 4G network or Wi-Fi depending on the network strength or Wi-Fi coverage. It will also let the phone switch between these networks.

The number of phones that support Airtel Wi-Fi is limited. Basically, the Wi-Fi calling requires support not only from a telecom operator but also from the phone maker via hardware and software. The hardware support is already there in most of the recently launched phones, but they need a software update to enable it. Following phones support Airtel WiFi calling as of now- Samsung- Samsung Galaxy J6, Samsung Galaxy A10s, Samsung On6, Samsung Galaxy M30s. Samsung says that this feature is available only in Delhi NCR for now and it will be rolled out to Airtel users in other parts of the country very soon. Apple- iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Xiaomi- Xiaomi Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro and POCO F1. OnePlus- OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro. More phones will be added to the list of devices that support the Airtel Wi-Fi calling. “Airtel Wi-Fi Calling is designed to enhance voice calling experience for Airtel smartphone customers, especially when they are indoors. With Airtel Wi-Fi Calling, customers with Wi-Fi at home or office will get excellent signal quality indoors,” said an Airtel spokesperson.
