Airtel continues to offer aggressive tariff plans in order to take on the other telecom operators in India. This new Airtel Rs. 558 plan, which was first reported by TelecomtalkInfo, also comes to counter Reliance Jio’s Rs 498 plan which comes with 182GB GB 4G data for 91 days and Vodafone’s Rs. 569 plan.
Airtel Rs. 558 plan
The Rs 558 plan from Airtel comes with 3GB data per day along with unlimited local and STD calls with free national roaming. The total data benefits available with the Rs 558 plan is 246GB which means that Airtel is providing 1GB data at Rs 2.26. Also, there will be 100 SMS per day. After the provided daily data limit, users will get a reduced data speed of 128kbps. There is no FUP limit on voice calls.
This new plan directly takes on Reliance Jio’s Rs 498 plan which comes with 2GB daily data for 91 days which makes the total data benefit to 182GB. This means Reliance Jio is offering 1GB of data at Rs 2.73. Vodafone, on the other hand, is offering 3GB data per day along with unlimited voice calls with a cap of 250 minutes per day and 100 SMS per day for 84 days. With this plan, Vodafone brings down 1GB cost to Rs 2.25. So, overall this new Airtel Rs. 558 plan is in-line with Vodafone’s offering.
