Airtel Internet TV Product Details
As the name suggests, Airtel Internet TV works with an internet connection. As part of the installation, you will get an Airtel Internet TV set top box along with a dish antenna that regular Airtel Digital TV users get. Airtel recommends you to have a minimum broadband speed of 4 Mbps for a smooth experience.
At the launch, Airtel mentioned that its Internet TV supports 4K content out of the box. Based on Android TV, you can access Google Play store to download apps, games and other media content. Other features include a built-in Chromecast so you can mirror content from your phone, tablets or laptop/desktop. The Airtel Internet TV also comes with support for content playback via USB and Bluetooth. Gaming enthusiasts can make use of the internet TV using gaming controllers or their phones are gaming pads. The Airtel Internet TV also supports play, pause and recording of live TV content. Users can plug in their pen drives to store the recorded content. Additionally, apps and games can also be installed on pen drives.
Given that the Airtel Internet TV is based on Android TV, you can make use of Google Voice search. The remote bundled with the set top box comes with a dedicated Google Voice search button.
Airtel Internet TV Plans
Airtel Internet TV starts at an introductory price of Rs. 4,999. This plan comes with 3 months of free subscription to HD as well as SD channels. Airtel also has a Rs. 7,999 plan wherein you can get 12 months of subscription free. With both the plans, Airtel is bundling Netflix trial of 1 month, 3 months of Eros Now subscription and TV games. Apart from this, if you are an existing Airtel Broadband user, you can get up to 25GB of additional data free every month. For this, users will have to register under “MyHome” on MyAirtel app. After the free period of 3 months (Rs. 4,999) or 12 months (Rs. 7,999), you can pay Rs. 500 per month for 500 SD channels or Rs. 700 per month for 500 HD channels.
